Rental Terms

In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

A valid full driving licence appropriate for the chosen vehicle is necessary, held for the duration specified in the Rental Agreement. Booking and Payment Process

• Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Whitley Bay office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are usually due at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.

4. Collecting and Returning Vehicles

• At the time of vehicle collection in Whitley Bay, a thorough inspection of the car is required. Any pre-existing damage should be reported right away. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed to document the car's state. Upon returning the vehicle, it should be in the same condition as when it was rented, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged accordingly. Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when you collected it; refueling charges will apply if the fuel level is lower. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges, impacting your overall rental experience.

7. Restricted Activities

Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle

• The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities. Activities such as racing, rallying, or off-roading are prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials is also not allowed. Sub-letting to unauthorized individuals or allowing unapproved drivers is prohibited. Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purposes, within passenger and weight limits. Driving outside of designated geographical areas without prior consent is not permitted.

Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.

8. Liability Restrictions

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable English and Welsh law, Car Hire Whitley Bay accepts no responsibility for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, that may arise from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to instances of negligence leading to death or personal injury, or to cases of fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the relevant English and Welsh courts.
